Access your media library

From a Network Attached Storage (NAS)
To access your media library, the iMedia Control for iPad automatically finds DLNA Certified Digital Media Server (DMS) such as network attached storage (NAS) devices* in your home network. The Sitecom Home Storage Center is an example of such a DLNA Certified NAS that is able to be accessed from your iPad via the iMedia Control for iPad.

From a Windows PC
There is also a lot of software available to turn your Windows PC into a Digital Media Server (DMS). Some of these software packages are DLNA Certified but also non-certified software such as Windows Media Player functions as DMS and works with the iMedia Control for iPad. This means, if you have Windows Media Player, the iMedia Control for iPad lets you access content from your Windows computer and display it on your iPad where you can browse, select and play it easily.

 

Play your media content

On your TV
To play your media content such as music, videos and photos on a TV, the iMedia Control for iPad automatically finds DLNA certified Digital Media Renderer (DMR) such as media players or Smart TVs in your home network.

The Sitecom MD-272 HDD TV Media Player and the Sitecom MD-273 Network TV Media Player are both DLNA Certified. They receive the files that you have selected on your iPad via your iMedia Control for iPad and play them on your TV.

On your iPad
With the iMedia Control for iPad, your iPad can not only access digital media content from a NAS or Windows PC, but it can also play all these media files such as movies, music and photos on the device itself.

On your PC
The iMedia Control for iPad makes is possible to access your media library with your iPad and play it on any PC on the home network that has Windows Media Player installed or any other DLNA Certified renderer software*.

 

Ease of use

Browse with cover flow
The iMedia Control for iPad lets you browse your media library in an easy and intuitive way. The “cover flow” feature lets you view your favorite music and films through the album or movie cover

Control all your devices simultaneously
Play multiple media files at the same time on different players. This allows you, for instance, to listen to your favorite songs on the PC while your family can enjoy a movie on their TV in the living room.

Multitasking
The iMedia Control for iPad supports multitasking. This means you can use other apps on your iPad while you are playing music via the iMedia Control for iPad.

Search
The iMedia Control for iPad also has a search function which makes it easier for you to find your favorite song or movie in the vastness of your media library.
